Our expert cablists competed fiercely to make the day a roaring success, each of them worthy of praise.
When it comes to leads management, SHS Crew are the best in the business … it’s how we roll.
The tournament was followed by a combined get-together for Senior Crew Chief William Laughlin’s Immortality Ceremony and the 40th birthday celebrations of Victorian Operations Manager Maximillian Dessmann, who topped off the night with some sterling pool playing that left hapless pub-goers at The Union shocked and humiliated.
Show Support expresses warm gratitude to our great client TDC, and Karl, for donating the cables for this prestigious event. In addition, Tortuga Studios provided the space for our top SHS professionals to display their cable-rolling prowess. Thanks also goes to SHS National Operations Manager Rebecca Morrison for keeping the score, SHS SA2MD Vincent Heffernan for timing the events and use of his GoPro, and, last but not least, Lorin Chapman for logistical support and broadcast quality camera work.
On a personal note, SHSMD David Neil regrets not having a roll of lecky tape handy for the 25M Socapex Finals, a rookie mistake that cost him victory. Let that be a lesson to all up and coming Showies. Electrical tape can mean the difference between life and death in this cut throat industry.
Don’t ever leave home without it!
