One of the great benefits of representing a company with national coverage is the ability to work in different cities and locations around this fine country.
Crew from outside of Sydney who have friends or family they can stay with, or their own accommodation, can let the SHS office know in advance if they are planning to visit. It is a simple matter for us to update your location in our system so you can be offered work in Sydney the same way you would in your home state.
As we know our work is seasonal, and for various reasons, different areas may peak at different times. For example, Melbourne might be busy with an event, or Brisbane/Gold Coast, as was the case with the recent Commonwealth Games where our National Field Manager, Benjamin Albrecht spent time onsite with our sterling QLD Crew.
It’s not a bad idea to check in with the office to see how busy things are if you happen to be travelling to another area.
There are also times when we are busy in Adelaide and Perth, as well as various rural locations.
If Show Support can help in any way with family reunions, catching up with friends, or the desire to seek novel experiences by expanding the horizons of available work for our valued SHS Crew Members, then we are more than happy to oblige.
As you may imagine, a lot of our jobs occur in the tourist parts of town, so it is possible to combine a working holiday with some quality sight seeing.
Recently some great SHS Melbourne Crew have received the heart felt welcome of their fellow-Showies up in Sydney.
Here at SHS Operations we love to encourage such venturing, as it’s a win-win all round.
