First Impressions Count – Uniform
The importance of our SHS uniform can not be understated.
Apart from being the fabric that unites us as a team, when worn correctly, the SHS uniform provides a great first impression to our clients and those working around us onsite.
In 12 years of operation, our uniform has been worn with pride by many outstanding individuals and has seen out hundreds of thousandsΒ of hours of continued work in our industry.
The button up Polo Shirt, with SHS insignia, was designed to allow our crew to work comfortably within the corporate environment whilst maintaining a professional appearance.Β
For five star hotels and venues, and wherever there is the possibility of working around distinguished guests, show blacks are required. These consist of long black trousers in good condition worn together with the SHS Dress Black long sleeve shirt.
All shirts should be tucked in to ensure we are recognised as the professionals that we are.
Uniforms should always be maintained in good condition.
Frayed or damaged uniform items should be swapped out at first opportunity, which can be done by contacting SHS Operations or Supplies.
The SHS waist pack, or a tool belt, is an essential and mandatory part of our uniform requirements at all times.
At least a Multitool and shifter must be carried by Showies on all shifts.
P.P.E such as black steel cap shoes or boots are a mandatory uniform item.
Any crew member not wearing steel caps onsite will be asked to leave the worksite immediately.
It is also mandatory to bring your SHS Hi-Vis vest to every shift so it is ready to be worn on request from our clients or venue safety officers. The same applies to Hard Hats which must be brought to all shifts.
The Show Support Hoodie is a popular item, especially through the winter months, and is available for purchase through SHS Supplies.
Show Support recommends black FXD – WP-4 Stretch Cuffed Work Pants which are available from workwear outlets such as RSEA and WorkScene. These pants suit most applications within corporate and non-corporate environments, are of the highest quality and design and have recently become a favourite amongst our top crew. Β Β
Your uniform and how you wear it can make the difference as to whether our clients look upon you as an elite individual within our industry β a fully-fledged Showie β or merely asΒ a common loader.
Make sure your first impressions count.
